Field Report Friday: CYPRIAN HELPS WITH A HOME
9 Years ago, in my mid 30’s, I wrote out a plan for my 40’s. It consisted of three steps:
1. Free myself from day-job drudgery.
2. Free my wife from same
3. Free us both from NJ and get a place in Vermont, which we both love.
The first step i have pretty publicly achieved a long time ago now. We managed step 2 a year ago when we felt secure enough for my wife to quit her state job and be a stay-at-home mom. This summer I decided things were moving too slowly on step three and I needed to step it up a bit. It started at Hexfest this summer:
August 2018, New Orleans LA, LAST DAY OF HEXFEST:
Purchased a plaster statue of St Cyprian from Mama Carmel. This statue is made in Cuba and is larger version of the standing Bishop than usual. The Statue was however lacking a Crozier. I decided that I would ask St Cyprian for help expediting my move to Vermont. We have a long relationship at this point and he understands what I need…
September 26th 2018, Ong’s Hat NJ, THE FEAST OF ST CYPRIAN:
Wrote a petition to Saint Cyprian on a thin strip of parchment asking to expedite the savings for a down-payment on a house, guidance to the best house, and clearing of obstacles etc. Rolled up the parchment and placed it in the hand where a Crozier should be. Promised him that as soon as I am set up in a new home with an adequate office/temple space I will have a black iron Crozier made to replace the parchment. Various commitments align and money starts to be allocated for a house faster than normal. My wife finds a house that she likes online, but it is a bit out of our range.
December 21st 2018, NJ, YULE :
I tell my wife that we have now hit the savings goal we had set for the house. That same day, the price on a house we were looking at in Vermont drops $30,000, bringing it within budget. We book a room for New Years week so we can go look at the house.
January 2nd and 3rd 2019, VT, PERIHELION:
We see a few houses, including the one that drew us up there in a hurry. It would require more work than I am willing to put in, has a bad smell I am not sure would go away quickly, and has a brand new $20,000 Solar lease that we would also have to take over in addition to the house. .
My wife, who never asks me to magic up anything, asks me to ask the spirits to guide us “to the right house”, one that would work out best for us. I went to the riverside and drew a circle in the snow at midnight. I called upon St Cyprian, The Holy Powers, the Unholy Powers, and spirits of this land that I have been working with for years. And yes, Black School Students: I brought my Book and used our protocols.
I received a pretty profound vision that I am planning on having someone paint for me. But no specific response on the house. Beatific visions are cool and all, but that didn’t really clear anything up. My wife however suddenly had the desire to take a second look at a house that we had originally dismissed because we were so focused on the house that did not work out. We loved it. Kids loved it. We made an offer and it was accepted 30 minutes later. Made some preliminary thanks and offerings to St Cyprian and a specific angel and demon he set on the case.
February 10th 2019, NJ:
I get an e-mail from the mortgage company clearing me for closing. 10 minutes later I get a call from the realtor who asks me to sit down…. It seems that a circuit on the furnace was bad and did not click back on after a power outage. Pipe burst in the cold and apart from the plumbing and kitchen repairs the finished basement would now need to be gutted. We would not be closing on time.
Was this a bad sign? NO. It was Cyprian at work, forcing this thing that was eventually going to happen, to happen before I bought the place. The seller was a site manager so he had several contractors that were willing to drop everything and get it all done fast. I went up during construction but other than hiring an engineer to look over the repairs, it cost me nothing. Plus, I got a brand new finished basement out of the deal.
Last Week, VT:
Closed on the house. Students in my black school know that a Black Crozier with a Bident on the bottom is a special symbol for us. Check out the tool in front of the Wood Stove in the pic. I found it that way when I walked in as owner. It was like Santa leaving his cane in a house at the end of Miracle on 34th Street.
Now I have a proper office and temple again*, deep in the woods on a haunted mountain. Looking forward to much expansion from Strategic Sorcery as I get rolling in my new digs…
Oh, and most important: The first thing I did was keep my promise to St Cyprian and had Troll Cunning Forge make a custom Crosier worthy of St Cyprian. Check it out in the picture above.
The Strategic Sorcery take away:
- When your strategic specifics fall through, there is nothing wrong with turning to the powers and asking them to open roads and weigh in on what they think would be best for you given the parameters you set. This should ONLY be attempted with powers that you have built a strong relationship with though – not ones that you have never contacted but are listed under “Road Opening” in whatever book you read.
- Don’t be afraid to ask for something on short notice when you absolutely need to. It reduces your chances of success, but success is still possible, especially if you are loosening your parameters.
- Not everything that goes wrong is a bad sign. Sometimes magic makes unavoidable things happen at optimum times to limit your exposure.
