Crucible is Coming!
Next weekend is Crucible again, that Occult convention that I have been blabbering about every year for the last 10 years.
My Lecture this year will be on the same topic is one that I have gotten preliminary approval on from New Page to be my next book:
SEX, SORCERY, and SPIRIT: SECRETS OF EROTIC MAGIC LAID BARE
Rufus is gonna be there talking about Ecstatic Hermetics. Andrieh Vitimus is gonna be there talking Information Sorcery. You know us, we have books, we have blogs and are well known.
The great thing about Crucible though is that it is not just people that are published authors and well known teachers.
First and formost we have to talk about Arthur Moyer, the founder of the Omnimancer tradition. Without Arthur and the Omnimancers there would be no Crucible. Omni is a very private tradition of magic that is different from just about anything else that you have ever done, and Crucible is one of the only times you can get a glimpse into their practices without joining up. This year Arthur is talking about Omnimancy Healing Techniques. I have been lucky enough to be invited play with some of their healing tech in the past and remain impressed.
There are also people just beginning to publish and gain an audience like Maggi Setti a Wiccan High Priestess who is teaching on Love Sex and Magick. Jason Colwell, who is the co-host of Deeper Down the Rabbit Hole, the founder of Ohio Paranormal, and is presenting on Paranormal Investigation and Supernatural Self-Defense.
There are also people who don’t have any public footprint yet, and some who never plan on having one. At Crucible you get to hear people you would not ordinarily hear give some amazing talks:
Shawn Knight, the Bishop who ordained me last year, is talking on Magick and the Imagination.
Jason Feldstein, who I think is going to make a major impact with his work on Jewish Magic, is talking on Practical Jewish Folk Magic.
Kevin Meares, Matthew M. Tierney, Fr. Joseph Broz will be talking on Demonology
Andriei Freeman from the OTO will be doing a talk on Tarot without the book.
Add to this mix, two panels moderated by Mr. Colwell and you have a recipe for a HELL of a day!
