Cursing the Opposition
Those working with the “Crying of Calls 49 Group” will note that today’s call, Mercury of Saturn, is a curse. Obviously if you have enemies, this curse is for them but what if you don’t have any specific enemies? Is this appropriate to just utter without a target?
Yes it is.
Change the word enemies to opposition. We all have opposers in our lives either Material, Subtle, or secret. Usually all three.
Material Opposers are people that are working against us. This could be people doing magic, but more likely it is people that spread rumors about you or sabotage your efforts at work, or are in competition with you. You don’t need to think.
Subtle Opposers are spirits that wish you ill and have negatively effected you. This is usually in retribution for our style of human living that is often at odds with the natural world (not to mention common sense). Often the work of these opposers is not felt strongly enough to be thought of as an attack, but when you do something to get rid of them you feel much free-er.
Secret Opposers are from within your own mind/energy/body. When you stop thinking of yourself as a solid and integral unit you and realize that you are a collection of aggregate parts you realize that you can attack certain forces within you as if they were spirits. The ancients knew this and would bind the natal kakodaemon. You can aim this call at a specific habit that you want to conquer.
