Field Report: Hekate Helios Results
Results are starting to trickle in from the Global Hekate/Helios rite that I ran between New Years Night (January1) and the Perihelion January4). I received some good feedback immediately after the rites in terms of visions people had, strange phenomena that people experienced, energetic impressions and so on, but as you know by now if you follow my work; I am less interested in paranormal experience than I am am in practical results.
I received the following report from one of my students in the apprentice program:
“I performed the Hekate/Helios rite at the turning of the calendar year. While I have worked with Hekate some in the past, I had not worked with Helios in the slightest prior to this event. All I can say is that the operation has been a great success, and that success continues to work its way into my life. The day after the Hekate portion of the rite, I received a bonus at the office for a project that I had recently completed. Along with that bonus came some great recognition from the upper tier of our company. Earlier this week, I received a request for two freelance projects that I wasn’t expecting. (Two more projects equals more income.) And in my personal practice and studies, things have picked up a new vibe, and I am receiving results that I have not experienced before. All of this is in direct alignment with my petition to both Hekate and Helios. There’s a noticeable difference in my personal interactions with others, and I have found that I have had more positive attention from other people in just these two short weeks. I will continue to uphold my end of the deal, and I know that Hekate and Helios are going to rock my world in 2014.”
Note that apart from the obvious financial gains, recognition for his work is something that was specifically mentioned in the petition. Very often we can do great things in our careers, but remain in the shadows while lesser people get the glory, promotions, and recognition. This is particularly true of those of us on a spiritual and magical path. Our magical training teaches us to keep quiet about large portions of our lives and not flaunt it around for all to see. The spiritual part teaches humility and not letting the Ego run away with us.
Those of us that are not monks, nuns, or wandering yogis have to remember to find different ways to work with our ego than renunciation. While I hate ridiculous grand-standing, it is important to not be afraid to shine and even bring peoples attention to our accomplishments when appropriate. Helios excels at this. Glamour is an important part of sorcery and simply desiring to be noticed is not in any way antithetical to a spiritual life.
Great work!
