The Global Helios Rite begins tomorrow, and the mandala is open for two days after that for people to participate. Though it is central to the whole planetary scheme, I don’t see the Solar Power get invoked for practical reasons as much as some of the others. I think that this may be because some of the other planets have clearer powers: Jupiter is for money and expansion, Venus for love and influence, Mercury for intelligence and movement, Mars for war and power. The Sun however is a little bit of all these things, and so people sometimes ignore it. Yes, it gets invoked for illumination and spiritual growth, but its light is a powerful force in practical sorcery as well.
When looking to grow a business, Jupiter can bring more customers with more money, but if you are radiating the light of the sun they will come just to dwell in your warmth.
When looking to influence people, you often get much further extending your own radiance and graciousness than seeking to control the minds of others.

In short, from the practical sorcery angle, the power of the sun is not so much about reaching out and grasping at money and minds as it is getting them to want to revolve naturally around you.
Better yet, most of this this occurs by you being you in a deeper and more potent way.
