The Blog Round Up.
I have been so swamped for the last few months, that I have hardly had any time for the blog. The first bit of good news is that starting next week, the kids day care FINALLY has a spot open for another day, and I can have them in daycare for a day so that I can get caught up on work. The other good bit of news is that while my blog has been slow: some others have been hitting it out of the park with great posts.
Gordon chimes in on the “energy” debates, with an excellent post on what we just don’t know. Coming as I do from an eastern magic/mystic background, this is an important part of my practice.
Christopher Warnock posts a video about the various Picatrix editions. I have two of his editions and even if you get them for reference, you need to get them. The Picatrix is pretty much the cornerstone of Renaissance magic.
Jow goes Onieric and talks about Lucid Dreaming, a practice that is a favorite topic of mine. I will be following this up with a post of my own soon.
Moloch tell you to nut the f%ck up and do it right. Two take aways from this post.
1. Sometimes it really is worth it, even necessary, to drop the materia onto someones doorstep at 3am. Reminds me of my Hoodoo Sniper Rifle…
2. We live in an AMAZING age. If your ritual calls for sand from the land of Sumer, you can use the internet and get some sent to you. Books that people used to travel half a content by horse and carriage, just to read, you can download in minutes after hearing about them. It really is quite a gift we have in this age.
Andrieh Vitimus talks about the fusion of Qi-Gung and NLP.
Digital Tibetan Buddhist Altar has a mindful, if sad post, on cults and the fallout that can happen when things go wrong, as per the recent tragedy at Diamond Mountain.
