The Black School Course starts soon and as anyone who has taken it can tell you, it is a weird and wonderful system of magic, that has proven effective for many. I can say with confidence that it is the kind of thing you will love if you love this kind of thing…

Why You Would Love It…
The course starts with a regimen of exercises and prayers that bring you into contact with St Cyprian the Sorcerer Saint who stands between heaven and hell and mediates the powers of both. He is your Guide, Assistant, and Facilitating Spirit and opens the roads for you. If you have felt that there is a way to work with Christ and the Devil, with Angels and with Demons:You Will Love This.
These contacts that we make are linked to points in your body, and you will learn to access them and exercise them directly. If the idea of magic that involves spirits, energy, and the mind working together appeals to you: You Will Love This.
After that contact is established we consecrate a book that is actually an altar, a Monstrance for spirits, and Holy Oils for Magic and generally use the power of the Sacraments to perform Sorcery. If you don’t mind a little blasphemy: You Will Love This.
We learn different modes of working with Demons and the Dead; everything from simple spells with their seals, to full ritual evocations, even to Baptizing Demons. If you like the idea of consorting with spirits, not just conjuring them: You Will Love This.
Finally, as John Stein said: “If you’ve ever wondered what it felt like to be a monk slaving away at illuminating The Book of Kells and someone “just so happens” to drop the Verum in your lap…well…“. You Will Love This.
Why You Would Hate It…
The course digs deep into Christian mysteries and has workings that invoke the Blood of Christ, Nails of the Cross, and extensive Exorcisms. Lets not pretend that Christianity hasn’t done a ton of harm to people. If you are repulsed by everything Christian and don’t want to work in that idiom at all, I respect that. You Will Hate This.
On the other side of things if you are fairy mainline in your thinking about Christianity, this might not be your cup of tea either. If you would be repulsed at anything that would be considered blasphemous in Church, and certainly would never think of Lucifer or Demons as anything other than enemy, I respect that. You Will Hate This.
The roots of this teaching lie deep in Christian mysteries, the grimoire tradition, and folk magic but also are built upon vetted and verified revelations from the Saint and the Spirits. If you are not interested in new magic and prefer to stick to the classical grimoires, I respect that. You Will Hate This.
“Honestly, it scared the shit out of me“. This course generates a record number of spooky dreams and occurrences. Some situations may require you to stand your ground and constrain or exorcise a spirit. If you prefer to not get involved in any sticky situations like this, I respect that. You Will Hate This
That’s all I can think of, but they are all legit reasons that you might hate what this 5 month monster is all about.
