I Give Up!
There are several battles about my work that I have been fighting with my guides and with myself. Any of you ever have those battles? Your Patrons, Guides, or inner voice want you to do something a certain way and you are like: “No. I don’t wanna…”
Three things specifically that I have been resisting I have decided to give in on:
ADEPT TO IPSISSIMUS
A long time ago I started a second course, the Strategic Self Course that started great, but which quickly got derailed. It got derailed because the forces behind the course wanted me to present it as a way to move through the grades of initiation from Adept to Ipsissimus – I did’nt want to. Its not that I don’t believe in these some of these grades, I do. I think that the Neophyte, Adept, Magus, and Ipsissimus symbolize important stages in the ascent of the magician – I just think that they have been handled totally wrong every time they get used, and have been used so much that it would be impossible for people to think of them differently, To me, these are not grades that you take Oaths to an order for. They are not to be recognized officially by a group. They are certainly not to be claimed publicly like some badge of honor to show people who completely advanced and superior you are.
Its kind of like being a teacher of magic – if you are ready and able people will start asking, They will come out of the woodwork recognizing you as a teacher. The same is true of advanced grades. A Magus is a Magus because they handle their shit like a Magus. An Ipsissimus is so because he or they have become their very own self in every way and on all levels. You don’t talk about yourself that way to build yourself up. Others will do it because you display it in your actions and work.
This idea is at the very center of the Strategic Self Course, but I avoided thinking in those terms and got de-railed. NO LONGER. I am restarting the course next week for the people that are already in it and will open it yup to others soon if there is interest, Its Abyss or Bust!
HEKATE
I have been holding back on the Hekate stuff since my first book. When Hekate first appeared to me at the charnel grounds of Pashupatiunath I promised her I would contact her and transmit an arcana that she asked me to transmit. I have been holding back on it for two reasons.
First, a lot of it will diverge from Hekate source material and start sounding more like a Tantric text. This is in fact why she contacted me when she did. But since then so many people have been doing Hekate work that I just haven’t wanted to have the inevitable conflicts with re-constructionist’s who would doubtlessly have the stick up their ass shifted when they came across it.
Second, I am so bored by people popping up doing this kind of thing: “God/Spirit/Demon X has spoken to me and given me this fancy grimoire! Look at how bad-ass it is! And look inside, there is even a channeled text, just like Crowley! I am the prophet of the 7th Aeon.” (thats the one that comes after the aeons of Horus, Maat, Chaos, and Fred). I
Well, I give up. As soon as I finish Sex, Sorcery, and Spirit – I will be working on getting the Hekate book out. I am not gonna publish it in a fancy schmancy edition though. If I don’t do it with New Page I will do it as a PDF. If its a PDF people can prtint it in dragons blood and bind it in whatever kind of ridiculous way they want.
DISTANCE HEALING
For a while now I have been doing some distance healing and energizing for people that contact me about it. How they find out that I do it, I still haven’t figured out because I haven’t advertised it. I have been resisting it because its a flooded market, and because I wanted to focus on Sorcery, but my guides have been making it clear that it is important for me to do.
