Jupiterian Sorcery is not Planetary Magic.

In a few weeks the next cycle of JUPITER: The Sorcery of Achievement is starting up, and I thought that maybe I would clear something up. This course doesn’t approach Jupiter as one planet in a scheme of seven. The Jupiter we focus on the jovial and benevolent ruler of the gods. We aren’t overly concerned with planetary hours or days or retrogrades anymore than we would be with Juno or another deity not associated with a planet.

This also isn’t a course focused on building altars, making offerings, and trying curry the favor of a God. The course covers those things for sure, not just for Jupiter, but for Juno, Pluto, Kairos, Mercury, and others as well. It is not the main focus though. The Jupiter that wanted to sponsor this course is a God in retirement. A being less interested in worship and offerings than in encouraging others to learn from his wisdom and becoming more… well… Jovial.

In lesson one we learn how to cultivate Sky Like Awareness: resting our minds in the vast, clear, and luminous primordial nature rather than the instant grasping at attachment and aversion. We also learn to cultivate Eight Jovian qualities and recognize how one flows from another.

  1. Good Humor
  2. Good Understanding
  3. Good Governance
  4. Good Goals
  5. Good Effort
  6. Good Thoughts
  7. Good Gains
  8. Good Livelihood

This is all covered in lesson 1. From here we take off with magic that gathers resources, overcomes fear, establishes and maintains our focus, and all manner of sorcery of cultivate serendipity and power.

If you want is planetary magic, this is not the place. If you just want to make offerings and ask for favors, this probably isn’t your course either. Nothing wrong with either of those, it’s just not what this is about.

If however you are looking for magic that will positively change not just your circumstances, but you as well, this might be your class.

Class begins on the Equinox.
