The Horror of NOT Being Cursed

fantasy-art-creature-demon-dragon-magic-vampires-1980x1017You would think that going to a reader or Sorcerer and getting told that you are NOT cursed would be good news, but its rarely taken that way. When I tell this to a client often a look of horror comes across their face. They did’nt pay for a reading for nothing after all, if someone thinks that they might be cursed its because some stuff in their life has seriously gone to shit. Not being cursed means that the shit might just be their own fault. If they were cursed chances are they know what to do about that. I wrote a whole book about it if they don’t. If they don’t or can’t do it themselves they can hire someone to do it for them. There is a clear action they can take, and whether it makes things better or not, they feel like they are doing something.

If there is no curse, then the problem might just be on them. This is what Republicans, New Age Philosophy, Self-Help Books, and probably their friends and family tell them: you are in control of your destiny. If you have bad stuff happen its because of YOU. But that’s probably not the case either.

In every situation in life there are three factors that weigh in.

1. The product of nature and nurture that is YOU. All your accumulated habits, genetic predispositions, and talents or lack thereof define us in ways that we largely did not control.

2. Random chance.  Its 6am as I write this and Dow Jones is down 22 points from this time yesterday. S&P is up 4. Heads of State and several Billionaires have gathered in Davos to brainstorm how to fight income inequality. Trump names Sonny Perdue as Secretary of Agriculture. The unemployment rate is 4.7%. The weather this morning is foggy but will reach 50 degrees. Price of Gas here in NJ is $2.42. Some of this may effect me and some of it won’t but I don’t have direct control over any of it. Nor the traffic. Nor the mood of my kids. Nor a million other factors.

3. Your own actions. The tactics I employ moment to moment and day to day that will accommodate the above factors but still keep me to my strategic goals.

Most people have no sway over factors 1 and 2 and can only blame themselves for factor 3. Unfortunately even the ability to see what actions are possible in a given situation is deeply effected by factors 1 and 2. I remember reading an article in Forbes detailing what the writer would do “If I Were A Poor Black Kid”. Whatever the worth of the advice, the problem is that a copy of Forbes is not likely to find its way into the hands of a poor black kid in Philadelphia, and was really written to make the average Forbes reader feel justified in thinking that the poor are just being lazy.

Now, most people have no control over factors 1 and 2, and when you consider the strength of habitual tendency, very littyle control over factor 3 as well.

Strategic Sorcery teaches how to grab hold of all three of these factors and influence them in your favor.

We change who we are though meditation, mind-training, and divine invocation.

We influence random chance by applied sorcery and spirit intervention.

We take hold of our own actions through judicious strategies and tactical approach to life.

The horror of not being cursed is that whatever run of bad luck or bad results we are getting is the result of just that: bad luck that everyone experiences and the result of some bad choices that we make. Of course we don’t hold complete control over any of these, no one does, but the influence is all we need. Whether finding love, building fortune, or seeking illumination, we have to take a hold of this. If you are into Strategic Sorcery, its up to you to do this.
