“What the hell does the Ghost of Christmas Present have to do with your Jupiter Course?”
Last week I opened up registration for the next cycle of JUPITER: The Sorcery of Achievement. Rather than an image of the God Jupiter, or the planet, or even my stylized sigil of Jupiter I chose an image of the Ghost of Christmas Present for the image on the ad.
So someone asked “What the hell does the Ghost of Christmas Present have to do with your Jupiter Course?”
Short answer is: he’s Jovial!
For the purposes of this course the idea of Jovial Nature is much more important than lightning, eagles, or even the god himself. Of course we deal with all these things and more, but what is most vital is the idea of becoming more Jovian in nature. Not just cheerful, happy, or silly, but bursting with benevolence.
The Ghost of Christmas presence creates more abundance by being of service to the world. Far from fake positivity or ignoring problems, this Ghost maintains his abundance and joy while still confronting the want and ignorance of the world and attempting to alleviate the suffering they bring.
This is the secret of Jove really. Its not about hoarding wealth or endless expansion. It’s about good Governance. The Jove we deal with in this course is less interested in offerings and praise, than in you actually being more as he is. Less interested in granting petitions, than in empowering achievement.
So, that’s why the Ghost of Christmas present is as fitting a figure for this class as Jove himself. The benevolence we seek is achieved through being benevolent.
